When u get to the parking lot walk down the bank seperating the pond from the lake walk don't to a big metal drain. Nothing biting at all, literally hundreds of dead sucker fish littered across the shores. It was horrible. Normally fishing is really good this time of year with hungry over winter fish and newly stocked 10" trouts smashing spoons with utter abandon.

However, this year I have not seen neither one of them. My guess is winter kill was heavy and they havn't stocked the bigger 10" trout so far. I did see schools of smaller 5" trouts crusing the shallows along the bank. Fishing should pick up once the " trout are stocked in large numbers.

I plan on going to the pond in a day or two. I have a few questions? Any easy directions to the pond? What can some of you guys recommend I use for bait?

I'm very new to fishing. I went fishing yesterday evening and fishing was very slow. Didn't see any of the over winter trout. I did see a small school of 5" newly stocked rainbows but they were too small and were not in biting mode for some reason.

Even guys who were bottom fishing with power bait were having no luck. A few trout I saw caught were 5" newly stocked trout from the shallows. Nothing bigger than that for the two hours I was there. Ice is off, but a massive winter kill. Saw several hundred dead suckers floating along the bank everywhere. Starting to stink. Unless they clean up the mess, it's unlikely yo be stocked in time for the long weekend.

Hello Roddy I was there last weekend and people were still driving on the pond. I suspect your at least 2 to 3 weeks before the ice is off. Hope that helps. Went last weekend and fished in 10 feet out water right in front of the parking lot.

We fished all morning with no bites but I did talk to two others that said the fishing seems better later in the day. There is 12 inches of ice and there was a couple of trucks on the ice close to shore. Definitely wheel chair accessible sir. Was wondering when it's going to be ice fishing time!!!!! There are 3 wheelchair accessible fishing sites. Always seem to catch fish from there. Does anyone know if there are any wheelchair accessible spits here to fish from the shore thanks.

Not a bad morning, we got in the water by 6am. The better half and I , she got 3 in the boat and I brought 2 in. We were getting seady bites and left the water by 10am.

I tried the spill way as well, no luck there. Trolled a black leech after the rain yesterday and had non stop bites for a few hours. Managed to get 4 to the boat all under 10". Good fishin this evening! Lots of bites, nothing too big but enough to get this "new avid fisher" excited!! Hello all has anyone caught fish in the Dixon this year? Stocking reports are indicating that it was filled up. Went fishing on the north side of the Dam in the little pond and in the river, dont think there were any fish stocked in there lol but lost 3 lures, trying my luck with the lake tomorrow.

I went there yesterday afternoon and fishing was very slow for some reason. I hardly saw anyone catch a fish. I went there yesterday and saw a sign posted that no retention of fish allowed until further notice. I don't think trout has been stocked yet this year. You can keep your catch at The Pond this year just not Glennifer. Pg 4 in the regs. Last weekend about 15 meters from shore was no ice.

Looks like oil is killing the lake was there today most off fish flouting belly up and theres a lot off green scum on the lake.
