When it came to this romance, the writers went down the "enemy-turned-lover" route. Hayden and Liam had a connection pre-existing the series, which showed that the teens grew up together.
If Hayden didn't leave in the second half of season 6, the couple would have remained together till the end. With the couple being composed of two werewolves, loyalty and devotion are two aspects that are ingrained into their mindsets. There is also the belief that werewolves mate for life and with the way these two acted, it proves to be true. Scott Tyler Posey and Malia Shelley Hennig should work, but there was just something missing from the pairing.
Many fans have said that his pairing felt forced and it has proven to be true. It looked as if the writers had paired Scott and Malia because they were the only two single people left in Beacon Hills. Where Stydia and Scallison had a lot of development, Scott and Malia's was rushed.
Before they engaged in a romance, they had hardly any interactions. Malia was either involved with Stiles or the Desert Wolf, and Scott was concerned with keeping the pack together. This romance developed too quick and blossomed too late. Mason Khylin Rambo and Corey Michael Johnston were one of the sweetest and most underrated romances in the show.
Introduced with the second wave of characters, Mason and Corey's was one of the same-sex relationships that played a significant role in the show. Even though they began in rival packs, the couple showed you could overcome the odds if you work hard at it.
It was nice to see a forbidden romance not end in tragedy. They did have some cute moments. However, they wouldn't have lasted in the long run for two reasons. The other reason, Isaac ended up being nothing but Allison's rebound. On paper, Scott and Kira worked because they had a lot in common. They were both outsiders who struggled to come to terms with their supernatural selves. Someone is watching it all go down.
Peter reveals that Isaac saw Erica and Boyd as well as Deucalion. Scott and Stiles walk into school, discussing why the alphas would want Erica and Boyd. In Business, Coach asks about the principles of the stock market and is really confused when Scott actually has the correct answer: risk and reward. Stiles goes to get a quarter for Finstock to use in an object lesson, and the condom from the night before that was still in his pocket falls out.
Finstock makes a smart remark but takes the quarter. Stiles is about to play Finstock's game, make a shot for less work in the class, miss and you get extra, when his dad walks in. He needs to talk to Stiles about what happened to Heather. Scott overhears the conversation just as Danny wins the quarter game.
Allison and Lydia are studying in the library and Lydia comments that she wants one of the twins, the straight one. Stilinski died, and Scott states that they need Isaac to remember. They decide to consult Deaton. This happens to be slow enough for Isaac to be nearly dead. Scott and Derek submerge him in the water, and he shifts trying to surface. Between Scott, Stiles, and Derek they manage to keep him down until he stops struggling before allowing him to float back up.
Deaton tells the others that only he can talk or Isaac will get confused. Isaac appears to feel like he is living in the memory and becomes very distressed when he realizes that the alphas can see him. Deaton manages to get him calm again before proceeding. A flashback is shown with Isaac stumbling around the building overhearing a discussion about the full moon and control. Apparently the alphas are worried about what Erica and Boyd are going to do during the full moon.
Isaac is beginning to panic more, and Deaton and Scott want to back off, put Derek forges on, knowing that he must have seen something particularly important to be reacting this badly. Derek decides that he should get them out tonight in that case, and Stiles realizes that the bank was robbed and they could probably find out the details on how to get in pretty quickly.
The next morning the Sheriff walks in to find both Scott and Stiles asleep on piles of papers. Another werewolf! Cecile With a double major in engineering and fangirling, Cecile frequently feels like she lives in the wrong time zone and has become increasingly familiar with sleep deprivation.
