First pic is 80 series with 3 knobs, second one is 80 series with 5 knobs, last one is 90 series. Looks almost same as 80 series. Slight differences in appearance and labeling but essentially the same washer. You have to have the exact model numbers to be able to look up the parts list's or marketing brochures to be able to find any differences such as stainless tub versus plastic, fabric softener dispenser or not, load capacity As far as drive train, suspension and basic design, they are the same.
That's why when people post about their "80 series" washer, we ask for the model number. Also wife claims they had a 3 speed machine. I don't think so but thought I'd ask. Thanks, Dennis. Nope, doesn't mean that. Washer may have 2 speed motor with speed selection done by timer cycle selection instead of speed switch. Got to have model number to know for sure. There are 3 speed motors, in fact, the 2nd and 3rd in the photo are 3 speed washers.
Extra slow, slow and fast on the speed switch. Quick Reply Show Quick Reply. Forum Jump AppliancePartsPros. You can post new topics in this forum. You can reply to topics in this forum. Mechanically they work the same and one should be no better than the other. Want to get updates on new answers? Answer this question. Didn't find what you are looking for? Related Questions.
